About Our Town New York

John K. Bahr  is a native New Yorker with a love for his city. He has the capability for taking complex information and making it light, fun and entertaining. Over the past 45 years, John has lived in Manhattan and abroad with a wide range of experience in the media arts, advertising and culinary industry. John brings his broad knowledge and lifelong experience of New York City to his tours each day.

Brian Sullivan  also a native New Yorker, has been providing personal tours for over 13 years. Brian is known for his exceptional knowledge, engaging personality and dedication to performing memorable experiences for his guests. He views each of his personal tours as an opportunity to broaden horizons, foster cultural understandings and create enjoyable experiences for all his guests. Brian's philosophy is simple: he treats every guest like family and shows them 'Our Town New York'!

Our Guides are all vetted and native New York City licensed guides with thousands of hours of experience. They have been introducing our city to guests from near and far. Our guides are unscripted and can customize your tour to your interests, desires and wishes. We truly feel that it is important for our guests to experience and visit New York City, The Hamptons and the Hudson River Valley, but we want them to have a fun experience too!

In order to truly enjoy New York City, it is helpful to begin your NYC visit by experiencing a tour with an energetic and knowledgeable tour guide. After one of our tours and for the remainder of your stay in NYC, you will feel comfortable and confident exploring New York City on your own, like a native New Yorker. We gladly offer our private tours in foreign languages too.
