Lower Manhattan Tour
Our 'Lower Manhattan Tour' includes Manhattan Island from Central Park South to the southern most tip of the island at Battery Park. Along with the ‘Manhattan Highlights Tour’, the ‘Lower Manhattan Tour’ is one of our most popular tours with our guests. Manhattan is an island, it is only 13.4 miles long and just over 2 miles at it’s widest, covering nearly 23 square miles.
Sites & Neighborhoods
Lower Manhattan is the older and southern portion of New York City. The sites and neighborhoods you could see and visit may include the following: Central Park, Times Square, Broadway Theatre District, Hells Kitchen, Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal, the United Nations, Empire State Building, Flatiron Building, Greenwich Village, Meat Packing District, High Line Park, Hudson Yards, SoHo, Little Italy, NoLita, Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge – South Street Seaport – Dumbo – Brooklyn Heights, Wall Street (New York Stock Exchange and Federal Hall the site of America’s original capital and George Washington’s inauguration), Trinity Church, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island (viewed from Battery Park), the new World Trade Center, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum (9/11 museum tickets can be arranged) and St. Paul’s Chapel.
Our tours are flexible to meet your desires for what you wish to see and do. If you are already familiar with some of these neighborhoods, we’ll happily suggest substitutions of other neighborhoods during your tour.
A Tour Designed With You In Mind
The ‘Lower Manhattan Tour’ is generally a 4 hour tour, depending on how many stops you wish to make, and usually can be extended if you so desire. All our tours are specifically designed for you! No two tours are alike as all our guests have different interests. If you wish to have lunch while on tour, suggestions and arrangements can be made for you.
Your starting and ending location is usually at your hotel. However, we will gladly meet you at any local location you desire. Our tours are all about you and New York City!
Your tour will begin by your driver/tour guide asking questions such as: “How many times have you visited New York City? What have you seen thus far during your visit? What is it that is most important for you to see and do?” And then, we customize a tour specifically designed for you and your interests. If you have a list of sites, stores, and neighborhoods you wish to visit, we are here to accommodate your wishes.
Experience The City To The Fullest
During your tour we’ll point out the contrast in architecture from neighborhood to neighborhood, which makes New York City so unique and interesting, as no two neighborhoods are alike. We’ll also recommend local restaurants within each neighborhood where you may consider dining while you’re visiting the city. We’re glad to make reservations for you, as well.
Your request is welcome at any time for your touring vehicle to stop, so you could explore a site, store, market, or just to stop and take photographs as there are so many photogenic buildings and sites throughout the city.
